Our Approach

A little bit about me...

Hi, I’m Caitlin, a freelance lifestyle and technology writer and editor based in Toronto, Canada.

I help lifestyle brands and publications entertain, delight, and inform their audience by creating kickass copy and informative content. I love helping clients take their ideas to the next level to effectively communicate in their business.

I write blogs, articles, case studies, sales copy, and more, so that you can focus on rocking your business instead of the chore of content creation.

Our Story

My background:

When you hire me for your writing project, you’re not getting someone looking to hit a set word count before moving on to the next project.

You’re getting a professionally-trained journalist; someone who knows how to ask the right questions, and can craft compelling copy that speaks to a reader’s emotions. I take part in continuous education so I’m constantly upgrading my skills to better serve you.

You’re getting a former editor from one of the largest and oldest online media companies in the world. Having been on the other side, I know how important deadlines and impeccable copy are, and I provide publish-ready content on time or ahead of schedule for all my clients. When it comes to brainstorming, I know what types of angles will work for different outlets, and can write in many styles.

You’re getting someone who cares about you and your project, and wants to see you succeed as much as possible. My clients aren’t just another number to me, they’re an important aspect of my life. I prefer to have ongoing relationships rather than just one-offs — I find it more personal.

You’re getting someone who LOVES to write. Words are my passion, and I love helping people and businesses find the right ones to tell their story.

Since graduating from Ryerson University’s renowned journalism program with a focus in online media, I’ve spent the past 10+ years writing about everything under the sun for some of the biggest names in the game, including AOL, Heavy, Yahoo, and Canadian Living.

My passion:

I’ve always had a way with words — from writing my first play at the age of 9, to working with my local daily newspaper in high school (for my focus on highlighting youth issues, I was awarded the inaugural Osprey Media Young Journalist Scholarship). These days, however, I get my kicks creating delightful and engaging content for B2C clients.

When I’m not in front of the computer whipping up words, you can find me wrangling my two rambunctious sons at the park, getting down and dirty in my urban garden, or testing out new recipes.

Meet just some of my satisfied clients!

Here's what some of my clients have to say about working with me.
